PROLOGUE
In order to understand where I am, its important that you understand where I started. Many, many people know the high points of my biography. A simple Google search will tell you that I was born the third child to Edward Rochester and Sarah Cohen-Rochester; it will tell you that I grew up comfortably in Connecticut; that I went to Columbia University for my undergrad; that I was married to Stephen Pederson from 2014 until we divorced in 2019; that my first novel was published in 2012. It will not tell you that my seemingly "perfect" life was colored with many other adjectives. But it was not perfect.
